Actia Core Xs New! Now
The ACTIA CORE XS (also known as the ACI3) is a professional-grade Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) designed as the successor to the PassThru+ XS 2G. It is the current standard OEM interface used by major vehicle manufacturers—most notably the PSA Group (Peugeot, Citroën, DS, and Vauxhall)—for dealer-level diagnostics, ECU programming, and module coding. Key Features and Capabilities
- Cellular: 4G LTE (Cat 4) with 3G/2G fallback. (5G variants are in the pipeline, but 4G remains the reliability king for 2025-2030 fleets).
- GNSS: Multi-band (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou). We are talking centimeter-level dead reckoning via integrated accelerometers. Lose GPS in a tunnel? The Core XS knows where you are within 10 meters via inertial navigation.
- Wi-Fi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz) for depot auto-downloading.
- Bluetooth 5.0: BLE beacons for driver ID, tire pressure sensors, or trailer pairing.
- CAN Interfaces: 2x CAN FD (Flexible Data-rate). This is critical for reading raw J1939 engine data from heavy-duty trucks.

Part 1: What is the Actia Core XS? (The 30,000-Foot View)
The Actia Core XS is a high-speed, multi-brand Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI). However, calling it just a "dongle" would be an understatement. It is the hardware heart of the Actia Pass-Thru (J2534-1 & J2534-2) system, designed to allow a standard PC or laptop to talk directly to a vehicle’s Electronic Control Units (ECUs). The ACTIA CORE XS (also known as the
Stickers: Originals typically have a front sticker and a silver nameplate on the back; clones frequently include "Made in France" on the silver plate, which ironically can be a sign of a non-original unit in certain configurations. Cellular: 4G LTE (Cat 4) with 3G/2G fallback
Note: To use with OEM software, you often need an additional activation/license from that OEM. The Core XS itself is just the hardware translator.
Flexible Connectivity: It supports high-speed communication via USB 2.0, Dual-band WiFi (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, and 100 Mbps Ethernet.
