Extra Quality | Alpha Immo Decoding

Technical Write-Up: Alpha Immo Decoding

1. Objective

To decode the Alpha Immobilizer (Immo 1 & early Immo 2) system to generate a valid transponder key when the original key is lost or all keys are missing, without replacing the instrument cluster or ECU.

  1. Wrong Checksum – After modifying the eeprom, the checksum must be recalculated. Use automatic checksum fixers or the car will refuse to sync.
  2. Incorrect Chip Reading – Desoldering the chip too hot can corrupt data. Use a socket adapter or clip.
  3. Generation Mismatch – Treating an Alpha Immo 4 system with Immo 2 software will produce a valid-looking but incorrect PIN.
  4. Component Security Lockout – After 3 failed OBD attempts, the system locks for 10–60 minutes. Decoding the eeprom bypasses this lockout.
  5. Lost CS (Component Security) Code – Some modern Alpha systems store the CS code in a separate "dealer key file." Without it, OBD programming fails; full eeprom decoding is mandatory.

Skill Requirement: The tool requires a decent understanding of automotive electronics and EEPROM/flash memory, as it often involves reading and writing ECU files. alpha immo decoding
