  • Time-saving: The database provides quick and easy access to repair and maintenance information, saving users time and effort.
  • Cost-effective: By providing detailed repair and maintenance information, the database helps users avoid costly trips to the mechanic.
  • Increased vehicle knowledge: The database helps users develop a better understanding of their vehicles, enabling them to perform routine maintenance and repairs with confidence.

The Shift to Subscription Models

Part of the reason users search for older versions (like 2018) is that the industry has shifted toward Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Modern automotive data is increasingly sold as a monthly or annual subscription, provided via the cloud. This ensures users always have the latest data but creates an ongoing cost that some small independent shops try to avoid by seeking out older, cracked legacy versions.

    1. I really enjoyed the simplicity of your explanation. Am completely to this and I wish to learn from you and want you to be my mentor.

  1. Hi Fahad, thank you for the clear walkthrough.
Quick question though. In your video it shows the timer counting up in red in the timer block and I like that visual feedback while running the program. Was there something that you did to make that show? On mine everything works perfectly, but there is no visual timer that counts up. Also, on mine there is an automatic Program Unit Comment that was added under the “EN” on the timer and the “T50” b input that just says “timer”. Is this a matter of the program version? I downloaded the V3.31 version updated 9/20/2023 from the Fatek website.
    Thanks again,
    Kent
