Post: K Two Teasing Tongues 5 Part B Install
Mechanical connection of the two teasing tongues (actuators)
- Inspect tongues for wear or burrs; lubricate pivot points with recommended lubricant (light machine oil or specified grease).
- Slide tongue actuators into their receiving slots on Part B until they engage with the actuator pins or cams.
- Secure tongues with retaining pins or screws. Ensure they pivot freely through full range but without axial play.
- If adjustable stops or pre-load are present, set them per spec: typically small gap (0.5–1.0 mm) at rest or as specified.
- Verify symmetry and parallelism between tongues; adjust shims or eccentric bushings if required.
Ensure the tooth is seated flush against the 6-tooth spiral flighting to maintain rotor balance.
