  • Clean Install: Uninstall Mastercam completely, delete the C:\Program Files\Mastercam X5 folder manually, and reinstall.
  • Antivirus: Temporarily disable your antivirus during installation/launch, as it may quarantine the license manager file (nethasp.ini or similar).

For Third-Party AV (Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky): Consult your manual, but generally: Settings > Firewall/Advanced > Add Program > Allow mastercam.exe and nethasp.exe completely. mastercam x5 error .exe not valid

  2. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program.
  3. Uninstall anything named Sentinel HASP, HASP Driver, or Aladdin.
