The offline installer is generally faster. Because all the data is local, there is no download latency during the install process. It installs cleanly and registers with the OS quickly.
Recommendation
For enterprise or offline needs, use the Office Deployment Tool or Microsoft 365 admin center to create an offline installation package and deploy via SCCM/Intune; for Store/UWP versions, use Microsoft Store for Business or managed MSIX deployment.
