  • ATP and ATO: The real Northern Line uses Automatic Train Protection. In OpenBVE, you may need to keep the "Deadman's Handle" (usually the 'A' key or a physical lever) pressed to keep the train moving. If you release it, the emergency brakes will apply.
  • Speed Limits: The Northern Line has strict speed limits, especially around curves like the ones at Old Street or Camden Town. Keep an eye on the speedometer in the cab.
  • Darkness: Unlike mainline routes, driving underground is dark. Learn to rely on your instrument panel rather than looking out the window.
