Because these devices rely on hardware-based processing, the setup is more about physical connections and onboard knob adjustments than software installation. 1. Basic Hardware Connection Sound Blaster K3
The Logic:
- Turned fully LEFT (PC): You hear ONLY the audio from your computer (game sound, backing track). You will not hear your own voice. (Good for recording narration with heavy audio editing later).
- Turned fully RIGHT (Mic): You hear ONLY your microphone directly (zero-latency). You will not hear your game or YouTube video.
- Turned to 12 o’clock (Middle): You hear a balance of 50% computer audio and 50% your live voice.
Connecting Audio Equipment
When connecting a microphone, make sure to select the correct input type (e.g., phantom power) and adjust the gain levels accordingly. The K3's gain controls are located on the top panel, and you can adjust them using a small screwdriver or your fingers. sound blaster k3 setup

- Microphone: Connect your microphone to the Sound Blaster K3's microphone input port. Adjust the gain and phantom power settings as required.
For Mac OS
- Go to System Settings > Sound.
- Output: Select "Sound Blaster K3."
- Input: Select "Sound Blaster K3."
- Open your streaming software (OBS, Ecamm, Streamlabs). Create an "Audio Input Capture" source for the K3.
