- Windows 98/ME: Required manufacturer-specific drivers. If you lost the CD, the camera was a paperweight.
- Windows XP: Some generic drivers existed (like "USB PC Camera 301P"), but the SPCA2650 required registry hacks or specific
.inffiles. - Windows Vista/7/8/10/11: No official support. The driver signing requirements killed most legacy webcams.
