The Essential Alice in Chains is a comprehensive 28-track, two-disc compilation released on September 5, 2006, through Columbia/Legacy. The standout on Disc One, for the audiophile, has to be "Man in the Box." We’ve all heard this song a million times on the radio, but the FLAC separation reveals the meticulous production. The way the wah-pedal guitar solo cuts through the mix is razor-sharp.
