Step 3: Reading the Radio
Go to the Program menu in the top toolbar.
Select Read Data from Radio.
Select the correct COM Port. (Check Device Manager on your PC to see which COM port the USB cable is using).
Click OK. A progress bar should appear. If the connection fails, check the cable connection and COM port settings.
Install CPS: Run setup.exe as Administrator (Windows 7 compatibility mode).
Connect Radio: Radio off. Plug cable into the mic/SP jack. Turn radio on. The radio should dim the backlight (an analog signal it is ready for serial I/O).
Read Device: In CPS, File > Read Device. If you get a "Model Mismatch," you have the wrong software version (CE59 vs. CE-60).
