Installing the Needle

1. Turn the handwheel (flywheel) toward you to raise the needle bar to its highest position.
2. Loosen the needle clamp screw.
3. Insert the needle with the scarf (groove) facing the operator (back) and the long groove facing forward. Note: Always push the needle up until it hits the stop pin.
4. Tighten the screw firmly.
