Mf833t Driver: Zte
The ZTE MF833T is a versatile 4G LTE Category 4 USB modem designed to provide high-speed internet on the go. Powered by the Qualcomm MDM9225 or MDM9207 chipset, it supports download speeds of up to 150Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50Mbps.
- Plug in the ZTE MF833T.
- Open Device Manager (Right-click Start button).
- Look for "ZTE Mobile Broadband" or an unknown device under "Other devices."
- Right-click the device → Update driver.
- Select "Browse my computer for drivers."
- Click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer."
- Select "Network adapters" → Next.
- Click "Have Disk" → Browse.
- Navigate to the extracted driver folder (look for
zte_ndis.informf833t.inf). - Select the file → OK.
- Choose "ZTE NMEA Device" or "ZTE Mobile Broadband Network Adapter" from the list.
- Click Next. Ignore the "Driver not signed" warning (if applicable).
- Restart your PC.

4. Linux kernel driver notes
- After mode switch, device should show as
/dev/ttyUSB0(serial) orwwan0(MBIM). - Load modules:
sudo modprobe option echo "19d2 1433" | sudo tee /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id - For MBIM mode: use
cdc_mbim– NetworkManager usually picks it up automatically.
