5. Known Issues & Safety Precautions

• Voltage Mismatch: Some older revisions of CH341A programmers output 5V logic on a 3.3V chip, which can damage modern SPI flash chips. Ensure the "21019" model has a voltage regulator or jumper set correctly for 3.3V chips (most common type).
• Pin Shorting: Ensure the chip is seated properly. A short circuit can cause the USB port to reset or the programmer to overheat.
• In-Circuit Programming: While possible using pin headers and clips, in-circuit writing is often unreliable due to interference from other components on the target board. Desoldering the chip and using the ZIF socket is the most reliable method.
